English - Role play

Today we received a special photo that Jane took when she arrived in school this morning. It was of a fox and a badger in our outside area. She thought one of the animals was injured. We spoke about what we should do with an injured, wild animal. The class decided we should either call a vet, the RSPCA or the Wildheart animal sanctuary. The children then role played calling the vet and practiced the conversation they would have. They then showed their conversations to the rest of the class.

The children were really confident performing to the rest of the class.

(The children were then told that this was not a real photo and there wasn’t a badger and fox in our outside area).
